Social Programs

Remain connected with your community and socialise in a friendly, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. Prospect Community Support promote and encourage ‘active living’ through the variety of social events, activities and exercise classes we offer.

Being registered with My Aged Care and having a Social Support Group referral for Prospect Community Support* will enable you to participate at events and activities at a subsidised cost.

Most of the social activities and events offer a door to door service with City of Prospect’s two community buses.  The community buses have capacity to carry mobility aids (limits apply) and the team requires a Community Bus Registration form completed prior to access on the buses. Contact a team member on 8342 8091 to have the form posted/emailed, or to discuss your mobility requirements. The form can also be accessed here.

The social programs are coordinated by qualified team members and assisted by dedicated and trained volunteers.  The team arranges the social programs in three booklets each year –

  • January to April
  • May to August
  • September to December

Prospect Community Support team fosters a culture that is unconditionally inclusive and respectful of diversity – we welcome YOU.
