Payinthi (128 Prospect Road, Prospect), including Council offices, Prospect Library and Newmarch Gallery, will close on Thursday 25 April 2024 for the ANZAC Day Public Holiday.

Calls made to Council on 8269 5355 will be transferred to our after-hours service centre, but our online services will still be available, and items (excluding large toys) can be returned in our after-hours return chute on Prospect Road.

All Council services will resume on Friday 26 April 2024.

Funding and Grants

Community Support Fund

Through its Community Grants Program, City of Prospect provides the opportunity for locally-based community groups to receive funding to support activities/programs that benefit the Prospect community in the following areas:

  • Small Equipment Purchase - $1,000
    Contributing to the purchase of equipment to support an organisation’s activities.
  • Community Development Program - $2,000
    Supporting new projects and activities involving and developing the local community.
  • Facilities Improvement - $2,000
    Contributing to the maintenance and improvement of local community facilities. Prior approval must be sought from Council for any improvement to Council owned property.
  • Small Community Event - $2,000
    Supporting events, held in City of Prospect, with broad appeal to both the local and wider community.
  • Environmental Grants - $2,000
    Supporting community projects that focus on addressing our City’s impact on the environment in the areas of waste management, water usage, energy efficiency, transport and biodiversity. Innovative ideas and positive environmental projects that respond to the impacts of climate change, and benefit the local environment and our community will be highly regarded.

Significant projects that are being undertaken in partnership with other community organisations may be eligible to apply for up to $5,000 of funding in any of the above categories.

Previous grant recipients include:

  • North Adelaide Croquet Club to purchase and install a reverse cycle air conditioner for their kitchen
  • Collinswood Combined Probus Club to purchase a printer, canner and photocopier for their clubs activities.
  • Eagles Lacrosse Club to purchase and replace sporting equipment.
  • Prospect District Cricket Club to purchase an AED (defibrillator) for their club.
  • Santa’s Coming to Prospect Event in Vine Street Plaza including the annual Christmas Carols in Memorial Gardens.

The 2024/2025 round of applications open in mid July 2024 and close mid September 2024.

Public Art Grant

Small Temporary – Quick Response Public Art Grants are available to support the delivery of temporary public art projects that require a quick turn-around time and small financial contribution within City of Prospect boundaries. Grants of up to $1,000 are available to eligible artists and groups each financial year.

Applications can be submitted throughout the year and are available until funds are expended (per financial year).
