What is it?

Remain connected with your community as Prospect Community Support may assist with your transport needs to your specialist medical appointments.

Being registered with My Aged Care and having an Indirect Transport referral for Prospect Community Support* may enable you to receive taxi vouchers at a subsidised cost.

What is the cost?

These taxi vouchers are provided to you free of charge.  However, each taxi voucher has a limit of up to $30.00 per trip.  Therefore, please note that should your taxi fare exceed the value of the voucher ($30.00) you will need to pay the balance to the taxi driver at the time of your taxi travel.

When can the vouchers be used?

The taxi vouchers (Cab Charge) are valid for use only between 6am to 10.30pm Monday to Friday.  You may use a taxi company of your choice to travel with, and we suggest that you advise the taxi company when booking the taxi that you have a taxi voucher for that fare.

Up to four return trips per year will be available for your specialist medical appointments and the team appreciates advance notice of about 10 days to allow for postage.  With less notice and as arranged by the team, vouchers can be collected at Customer Service here at Council / Payinthi.

On an annual basis, the four return vouchers will be available with the commence date being the date of your first appointment.

Please note that the team will only arrange one (or two) return trips at a time - not posting/ collecting the four return trip vouchers all at once.

How to access the Taxi Vouchers in this Transport Service.

For the team to provide you with up to four return trips to your specialist medical appointments over one year you will need an Indirect Transport referral from My Aged Care or your assessor - please choose Prospect Community Support as your service provider.
